We are delighted to welcome John Newlands to Team B&G. Until his retirement John was head of investment company research at Brewin Dolphin Limited, writing research notes and recommendations on the \u00a34.9 billion of investment company shares owned by the firm\u2019s private clients.<\/p>\n

A leading authority on the sector, he has written a number of books about financial history and is a member of the 2023 Citywire Investment Trust Performance Awards Panel. He is also a director of three trusts, managed respectively from Jersey, New York and (perhaps less obviously) Newcastle upon Tyne.<\/p>\n

John will be writing for B&G on why he thinks that more IFAs should consider the inclusion of investment company based portfolios and addressing their oft quoted concerns about investment companies forming a part of the investment solutions they offer to their clients.<\/p>\n
